Umpires and coaches should know that it's "the act" of runner's interference that's the infraction, and is not dependent on any actions or outcome after the interference. This video is a perfect example.
OBR rule set, on this runner's interference/IF play, once the RI happens it's a dead ball, but time is not called until after fair-foul is determined. So, technically an OBR runner's interference/IF play is not an "immediate"dead ball. That being said, after the RI takes place all other playing action (except for fair-foul) is to be ignored.
